Canadian Jet Fighter Strikes Militants in Iraq

Two Canadian jet fighter CF-18s attacked some targets near Fallujah, about 70 kilometers from west Baghdad.

The official statement said that Two CF-18s attacked the ISIL targets using GBU12 laser guide bombs, the amount of bombs around 250 kg. In the same mission, four hour mission of flight supported by Royal Canadian Air Force C-150 Polaris by air-to-air refueling mission.

Accomplishing the mission, all of three RCAF's aircraft safely landed at the base in Kuwait.

Canada included about 600 airmen and airwomen to support this air combat mission. Canadian troops carried more than 1.000 tonnes of supplies and weapons. The spoke person of Canada stated that they also supply to Iraqi troops in order to help the military operational against the militants.

Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) bring six CF-18 hornet jet fighter, two CP-140 Aurora the surveillance aircraft and a C-150 Polaris the multi-role transport tanker aircraft.

Canada's Parliament approved in join the air combat mission, answering the request from United States. The commitment comes for the next six months and there will be no ground troops in warfare.
