Airbus began 2016 with orders for 16 aircraft registered in January their families single-aisle and widebody, while 22 deliveries were made - including the newest A320neo

Leading new business of the month was a reservation for 14 A330neo aircraft for unidentified customer, who selects the A330-900 version of the new series of wide-body aircraft engine option. To date, Airbus has sold a total of more than 180 A330neo aircraft - available on the A330-900 and A330-800 setting shorter-fuselage - underscoring the growing market demand for widebody new generation.

Also recorded in January was an order from China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) for two A320ceo (current engine option) commercial aircraft. Taking into account cancellations, Airbus began the new year with a total of nine net orders.

A highlight of the month deliveries was the initial delivery of a A320neo, received by the operator launch of Lufthansa. The NEO is a key update product bestseller Family single aisle aircraft, more than 4,500 of the A320neo Family sales reached five years after the launch of the program - compared with an initial target of 15 years for this sales milestone. Other deliveries in January were 16 A320 Family CEO versions, along with four A330 and one A380.

Overall, the new Airbus aircraft provided during the month were delivered to 18 customers worldwide.
