Vortex on Boeing C-17 Globemaster III. Very rare phenomena, the vortex on Boeing C-17 Globemaster III as the aircraft flying on low level altitude. The military transporter beautifully made difficult low approach to the Nelson drop zone as a part of air drop exercise. Speaking of vortex, the main caused of this phenomena are wingtip vortices and jet-wash effect. When the wingtip, the very end of wings, passed through clouds it able affect disrupted air around dramatically. This happen can be very quick or in long duration, depends on clouds circumstances. In the other hand, jet-wash effect came from engine thrust effect, oftentimes this happens more violent quickly.
